Riverdale Review 1x01-06 // dark and intriguing vs. problematic and sensationalised
After seeing a lot of media popularity surrounding Riverdale (and hearing my friend's passionate recommendation) I thought I'd give this show a shot. It was The CW after all, and my experiences with their shows, although a little too teen-angsty, have generally been more positive than negative.

My Top 5 Animated TV Shows
Top 10 Tuesday is Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
Following on from My Top Action/Drama TV Shows, I thought it was high time I spread some love for some truly incredible cartoons.
I hardly consider myself an animation expert, but I have been watching more cartoons of late. They're less stressful than pretty much all the other shows I watch, but also have a surprising amount of depth to them that makes them possible to appreciate by people of all ages.

My Music Obsession: You're Listening to Badlands Radio
'Badlands' by Halsey - Track by Track
Badlands plays out much like a story. All of the songs seem to link in some way, from themes to snippets of melody that return in later songs. It is about love, but has a much darker twist in contrast to mainstream pop which comes through in Halsey's powerful lyrics and fresh voice.
