Pokemon Go Book Tag!

Aentee at Read At Midnight created this book tag (as well as these super beautiful banners) and it's definitely one of the coolest tags I've seen in a while. I'm still getting the hang of Pokemon Go and haven't had a lot of time for it, but from playing so far it's really fun and it's no surprise it's got the whole world obsessed.

This is so difficult to pinpoint! I pretty much loved reading since the start of primary school when I started reading the Rainbow Magic Fairy books. I had probably what would be considered the full collection at the time - it's safe to say I was obsessed, despite the books having little to no plot. I was 4 - you can't judge.

Would it be bad to say Harry Potter? Everyone always says Harry Potter. But in terms of classics it is one of the first I read other than The Chronicles of Narnia, which I guess also applies to this category (I just love Harry Potter more!)

I don't normally lose interest in books exclusively for the hype - normally I either have no interest from the start so ignore the hype, or the hype persuades me to buy the book. But I have lost interest in Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunters books. In my mind, every series should have a set beginning and end. And whilst I love how TID and TMI expand off each other, I really can't deal with reading more about the same world.

Most of my favourites are pretty original, but The Land of Stories does fall into the generic retelling format. It reminds me a lot of the TV show Once Upon a Time, but I like it much more and find it really loyal to the original stories whilst expanding on the characters and their lives.

My copy of Uprooted is a huge hardback. And whilst hardbacks have a beautiful aesthetic, they are a pain to read. I also have a tendancy to drop things on my fave when reading. Books, kindle, phone - you name it. #booknerdproblems

Definitely The Raven King. It was my most anticipated release of the year - can you blame me? I read it in just under 24 hours.

I definitely have more TV OTPs than book OTPs, but 3 of my biggest book ships are Dari (Aristotle and Dante), Bluesey and Pynch (The Raven Cycle).

I have to agree with Aentee with this one and go for A Darker Shade of Magic. I'm so fascinated by the worlds in this book that I could devour them whole.

Unpopular opinion time: I do get tired of series that continue to have spin-off after spin-off. I just can't keep up and I like to have a solid conclusion to my series' (although I will say that 3 books in the Shades of Magic series doesn't feel like enough, and I do want at least a few more chapters of The Raven Cycle to get a little more closure). But I will say that the Sherlock Holmes books are an exception. I'm fascinated by how this one character can be put in any scenario and for him to still be loved by all. But with this I'm more pro-adaptation than pro-endless-series.

I see so many people saying they've gone off the Throne of Glass series, but in my opinion it just keeps getting better. Book 4 took a twist that blew my mind, and it finally feels like it's going down a path I'm really interested in. I've never cared much for the romantic relationships in this series which seems to be all anyone talks about, which is a shame because behind that is a really rich, fascinating and twisted series.

This has got to be The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I have heard mixed things, but the premise is awesome enough that I'm willing to ignore the naysayers and give this series a chance.

I don't know about collector's editions, but I really want to own all of V.E. Schwab's books in hardcover, as well as have all of The Raven Cycle in hardcover, simply for the aesthetics.

The Love That Split the World by Emily Henry has been on my TBR for the longest time. I've heard mixed things but I don't care because the cover is gorgeous.

Probably V.E. Schwab and Chris Colfer. But I will say that Patrick Ness is an auto-borrow-from-the-library author.

If since January this year counts as forever then it's got to be There Will Be Other Summers - the sequel to Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. It's such a sweet book and I can't get enough of the characters, so I'm happy the author decided to make this a series.

What antics have you been up to with Pokemon Go? Let me know in the comments below :)
